One Iberville: A Master Plan for Iberville Parish

The Iberville Parish Government is developing a master plan to determine the best pathway to enhance land use, transportation, recreation, and economic opportunities throughout the parish.

During the process of developing the Master Plan, residents will be invited to share input on the current strengths and opportunities for improvement throughout the Parish. That feedback will guide the project team’s identification and development of approaches to meet the changing needs of the community. The Iberville Parish Government will decide which strategies will be adopted into the final Master Plan.

Phase One: Engagement Planning

The initial phase of work consists of the project team working in collaboration with the Parish to develop goals and a path forward to achieving those goals. During this phase, the project team begins gathering data from key stakeholders and laying the foundation for the first public engagement phase.

Phase Two: Inventory & Analysis

The first engagement phase includes assessing relevant data from various municipalities, neighborhoods, key attraction sites, industries, employers, local agencies, recreational sites, demographics, and other key elements. This will be accomplished through stakeholder engagement, public surveys, and public meetings.

Phase Three: Conceptual Planning

Based on the analysis of data gathered in phase two, a conceptual plan will be developed. The plan will provide recommendations for development approaches for key strategic areas, as well as a graphical representation that illustrates  the overall intent and impact.

Phase Four: Plan Refinement & Finalization

During this final engagement phase, the project team will present the draft plan to key stakeholders and the community. The goal of these engagement opportunities is to obtain final input on the plan prior to adoption by the Parish.

Phase Five: Plan Adoption

The project team will present the finalized plan to the Parish Planning Commission and the Parish Council at agreed upon meetings.
